Escaped Gogebic Inmate Captured

BESSEMER, Mich. – After a manhunt, the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office is reporting escaped inmate Daniel Ferguson, 26, has been captured.

He was reported missing at 9:50 p.m. on Monday, June 19.

He was taken into custody at 2 p.m. today. He was hiding out at a residence in Bessemer. Officers acted on a tip to capture the suspect.

His current charges include an OWI and felony probation violation warrants from Wisconsin. Authorities indicate he has an extensive criminal history and could be facing future charges due to his escape.
