Superior 4th of July Events
FESTIVITIES KICK OFF WITH A MILITARY FLYBY ON THE 4TH

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The City of Superior has announced an expansion of its 4th of July Celebration for 2017.
A military flyover will kick off the parade at 11 a.m.
4th of July Parade will take place at 11 a.m. on 28th Street and Catlin Avenue. This year’s route will travel from the Middle School and end at the Senior High School. Heritage Park will stage several bouncy houses.
Following the parade around 1:00 p.m., the Superior Singers will perform.
For the first time in 20 years, Barker’s Island will host a range of events. Beginning on Saturday, July 1, a Carnival will be taking place all the way through the 4th, in the Festival Park Area from noon to 10 p.m. each day.
On the 4th, Festival Park area will be hosting:
- 1:00 p.m.: Food and craft vendors starting after the parade
- 3-7 p.m.: First Annual Dennis Van Alstine Memorial Car Show
- Band Line Up
- 2-5 p.m. Timberline
- 5:30-7:30 p.m. Todd Eckart
- 8-10 p.m. Aftershock
Fireworks will be launched from the barge off of the Festival Park area at dusk.
Shuttle Services: Shuttle services will be provided from Belknap Plaza or VIP to Barker’s Island.
Parking is available on the grassy hill along Highway 2 and the Auxiliary Police will assist pedestrian traffic on 9th Ave E
