Duluth Man Injured In High-Speed Crash

DULUTH, Minn. – A Duluth man is fighting for his life after a crash that authorities say reached speeds of 100 miles an hour.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says the 30-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and found around 10 yards from the crash site on the 6400 block of Rice Lake Road.

The call for help came in around 4:50 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was airlifted to Essentia health St. Mary’s Medical Center.

The identity of the driver was withheld Sunday pending notification of family.

The Sheriff’s Office is warning drivers to slow down and always wear a seat belt.
