Kids Learn From Hands-On Chemistry Experiments
Mad Science of Minnesota Program Stops in Carlton
CARLTON, Minn. – Kids in Carlton got to watch live, interactive chemistry experiments with a real life mad scientist.
The educational program by Mad Science of Minnesota gives kids a hands-on experience making slime, experimenting with dry ice, and making liquid change into a rainbow of colors.
The traveling program gets kids excited about learning.
“It sparks their imagination and makes them want to become scientists,” says J.D. Sidebottom, the scientist leading the program. “I’ve heard so many kids tell me in the last week that they want to be scientists.”
“It’s easy to imagine yourself as something as a child obviously, but it’s a lot easier to imagine yourself as something if you can actually physically touch it and get in there.”
The demonstration also entertained young scientists in Cloquet and Duluth.
