Duluth Police Give Tips to Stay Safe for NYE

New Year's Eve Safety

Officer Ron Tinsley with the Duluth Police Department stopped by FOX Sunrise Thursday morning to give tips for staying safe on New Year’s Eve.

Officer Tinsley said the best way to stay safe is to have a plan.

He says if you are going to a party, you should plan a ride there and a ride home.

If you’re hosting a party, make sure people don’t drink and drive when they leave.

Tinsley added, be sure to wear warm enough clothes if you plan on walking home.

There are rides available if you’re planning on drinking.

The DTA is offering free rides from 5:00 p.m. to 2:20 a.m.
