St. Scholastica Golf Team Enjoying New Training Equipment
Thanks to the new equipment, this the earliest time ever the Saints have been able to practice.
DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica golf team has some new toys to help them during practice.
The Saints have two new hitting bays that allow them to stay on campus for training. CSS also has a pair of simulators, which helps during the winter time. Thanks to the new equipment, this the earliest time ever the Saints have been able to practice.
“It’s great, to be honest. We can see our numbers for how far we’re hitting the ball with each club. It’s kind of nice not going outside. Obviously, it’s snowing but when we’re outside, it’s more time wacking the ball. But in here, it’s purpose for our hitting,” said junior Zach Wenner.
“Players are going to be able to have more reps and more hours in. We’re able to work more one-on-one that I can help the players accomplish the goals that they want to accomplish so that by the end of the season, they’re able to do the things that maybe they haven’t done before,” head coach Rachel Gray said.
The team says the equipment will be critical to their success, especially with the transition to the MIAC.
