One Injured, One in Custody after New York Mall Shooting

Police in New York say a worker was shot during an attempted robbery at a Rolex dealer inside of a Long Island mall filled with Christmas shoppers. 

One suspect is in custody. 

Nassau County Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter says the suspect attempted a robbery at the Roosevelt Field Mall Tuesday and fought with store security . 

Police say a gun went off and hit a 67-year-old mall employee outside of the store. 

The man was hospitalized in serious condition.
