Investigation Continues Into Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Duluth police are continuing to investigate a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. Saturday near Grand Avenue and Main Street.

Police say the 37-year-old victim was crossing a parking lot when he was hit.

The 27-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Formal charges are pending.

The Duluth Police Department is expected to release more information Monday.
