Mother, Son Rescued From Sinking Vehicle

Icy roads contributed to a scary situation in Washburn County this weekend for a mother and her son.

According to Holly Snyder of DrydenWire.com, Barronett resident Alice Ridgeway and her 12-year-old son were trapped after their vehicle began to slide on an icy road and rolled into a small pond.

The online publication reports some neighbors and a FedEx driver came to their rescue.

Nobody was seriously injured.
