Pints for Puerto Rico Raises Money for Hurricane Recovery
Breweries Across Minnesota Donate a Dollar for Every Pint Sold
MINNESOTA – All across the state today, Minnesotans could give back to victims of hurricanes Irma and Maria by having a pint for Puerto Rico.
Nineteen Minnesota breweries participated in the fundraiser by donating a dollar for every pint sold in their taprooms on Thursday.
All the money raised will be donated to the relief organization United for Puerto Rico.
“Today a gentleman brought in a Puerto Rican flag and hung it up in the window of the taproom which is awesome and so, to see it reach people in that way and touch people in that way, that’s important to me and it’s important to us here at Bent Paddle,” said Pepin Young, the Taproom Manager at Bent Paddle Brewing in Duluth.
Friday night, Bent Paddle is holding their annual Pink Pints Night. All beer proceeds from that event will be donated to the American Breast Cancer Association.
