Annual Rose Tipping Scheduled Oct. 21, 24

DULUTH, Minn. – The public is invited to join the Duluth Parks staff and Lake Superior Rose Society in the annual Tipping of the Roses at Leif Erikson Park.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 3-6 p.m., weather permitting.

Expert rose tippers will be on hand to teach volunteers the Minnesota Tip Method, a process that protects roses from the harsh winters.

Those interested in participating should arrive at the Rose Garden, between 12th and 13th Avenues East on London Road, on the dates listed above and check-in with Park staff.

All tools and supplies will be provided, including work gloves.
