Park Point Residents Learn How To Fight Emerald Ash Borer
Duluth-area residents were invited to a public meeting regarding the infestation of the Emerald Ash Borer on Park Point.
October of this year, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture confirmed an Emerald Ash Borer infestation on Park Point in Duluth.
A formal quarantine has been proposed to be adopted on Feb. 1, 2016.
Attendees had the opportunity to listen to presentations on the insect, and how to deal with them. Experts discussed the formal Emerald Ash Borer quarantine of Park Point and how residents can help limit the insect from spreading.
The discovery of the Emerald Ash Borer was made as a part of a three-year study that the MDA is conducting with the city.
