Fire Burns Down Local Business in Carlton

8 People in Neighboring Apartment Displaced

Eight people were displaced after a fire started in a neighboring Cycle and ATV shop in Carlton.

Firefighters were called out to the Arrowhead Cycle and ATV shop around 10 Wednesday morning to find heavy smoke and fire at the south end of the building. 

The Carlton Fire Chief said one person unrelated to the building suffered minor burns, and was transported to the hospital.  One person was inside of the building, but escaped unharmed. He said the building is most likely at a total loss.  

Neighboring apartments were evacuated immediately , and appeared to be unharmed, though residents say there is fear of smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but the Carlton Fire Chief said that nothing at this time points to suspicious activity.
