Community Connect Held at Damiano Center

Event Brings Service Providers Together to Help People in Need

DULUTH, Minn. – Community Connect, an event which helps low income people and those experiencing homelessness, was put on today at the Damiano Center in Duluth.

The event’s goal was to bring many different service providers together in one place.

It offered free flu shots, warrant resolution, foot care, and winter clothes and blankets.

“People who are low income have a lot of needs and sometimes it’s really hard for them to be able to meet them going from one place to another and so if we bring everybody all under one roof and they can learn about all the resources that they might need all in one place on one day,” said Katherine Mueller, Development Director of the Damiano Center.

Another Community Connect event will be held at the Damiano Center in January.
