Salvation Army Ready to Help Those in Need on Christmas
Deadline to Apply is Nov. 22
DULUTH, Minn.-With the Christmas season coming fast upon us, one local organization is working to make the needy’s holiday a little more special.
Right now the local Salvation Army is accepting applications for Northlander’s who need a little extra help.
You can come in and fill out a form for a holiday dinner basket or even request a gift for a child 16 and under.
“Something we hear from the community is they have nowhere else to turn,” said Terri Ellison, Salvation Army Captain. “Maybe they have burned bridges with their family, but they don’t want their child to go without Christmas.”
The last day to apply is November 22nd. Distribution will happen Dec. 19-21.
The organization is also in need of bell ringers.
