Woman Found Dead On Tracks After Being Hit By Train In Superior

SUPERIOR, Wis. — A woman in Superior was found dead on Saturday on the railroad tracks of private property, according to the Superior Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing, but police say they do not believe foul play is involved in her death.
The SPD says it appears that the woman, Hayleigh Grace Turner, was hit by a train while walking on or crossing the tracks in the area west of Tower Avenue and north of Winter Street.
Her body was discovered by employees in the area around 12:45 p.m.
“Hayleigh Grace Turner was an amazing bright soul with a smile to match and an incredible sense of humor,” Jaci Rae Belgum, Hayleigh’s mother, said. “She could make friends with anyone and was always ready for adventure. She loved spending time with family and friends and lived her life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.”
