Sled Dogs, Beer, Food and Fun to Kick Off Beargrease 2018

The First Beer-grease Event is Happening Friday, January 26 at Glensheen Mansion

DULUTH, Minn. – Happening tonight, the Glensheen Mansion will play host the first ever Beer-grease event.

In order to kick-off race weekend, the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon is teaming up with Canal Park Brewing and Glensheen Mansion.

Race officials, mushers, Beargrease Board Members and Sponsors will be on site to celebrate all things Beargrease.

Canal Park Brewing has brewed ‘The Last Ship’, an Imperial Russian Stout and ‘Lead Dog’, a cask of Brown Ale steeped with cherries and vanilla bean specifically for the BEER-grease event.

The Lead Dog beer will only be available at BEER-grease.

The event runs from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

It’s $40 per ticket, with proceeds going toward the marathon.
