World Diabetes Day at Walmart

The MN Lions Diabetes Foundation hosts awareness event

One in four people are at risk for diabetes so Minnesota Lions Diabetes foundation and Walmart teamed up to make a difference.

“Make people more aware of the risk of diabetes, provide some testing, so that if they are at risk they can get some medical help or counseling,” said Larry Winner, MN Lions Diabetes Foundation.

They asked customers to stop at the five booths around the store that featured free vision testing, blood testing and fitness demonstrations. If they went to all five booths they were rewarded with a prize bag.
