Friends of Animals Hosts 12th Annual Beastie Bash

Friends of Animals Humane Society hosted its biggest fundraiser of the year Thursday.

The 12th Annual Beastie Bash at Black Bear Casino featured silent and live auctions, dinner and entertainment.

All proceeds go to the shelter, including its Angel Fund that helps animals with special medical needs.

“Often times strays are wounded, perhaps hit by a car, caught in a trap, and the decisions to treat or not to treat are based on finances because we are a nonprofit animal shelter and having money in that account will make those decisions much easier,” said Cindy Haglin, director of Friends of Animals Humane Society.
