Community members attended the event for 5 dollars a ticket, with all proceeds of the event benefiting St. Luke’s hospital.
“We’re really proud of that because we don’t take any money out for any of the expenses, and it all goes directly to them,” said Bonnie Nimmo, the account executive of Spectrum Reach.
Event attendees enjoyed shopping, sweet treats, and entertainment at a variety of stations geared toward women
The event also featured a unique fundraising opportunity of women taking part in what they call “Rocking for a Reason” where instead of walking for pledges, they rock in a rocking chair to raise money.
According to the American Cancer Society, Around 1 out of 8 women in the US develops Invasive Breast Cancer in their life time.
Event Organizers hope that they can continue to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
