Thirty some acres surrounding the former Nokomis Restaurant along Highway 61 are getting a facelift.
Former restaurant owners Sandy Lewis and Rondi Erickson are building a community.
Local architect David Salmela is designing eight homes in a ‘Modern Scandinavian’ Style.
The units will be two to three bedroom homes, include upscale appliances, views of Lake Superior and offer a menu of concierge services.
“We think it’s a perfect space for anybody that has an active life you can walk right outside your door and do oh so many things in all four seasons, but it is also the perfect place for people who want a contemplative life – painters, writers,” said Rondi Erickson with Kiviranta Living.
The entire project is built to be energy efficient and will break ground next year.
Home prices start at $725,000.
