A Duluth hospital was recognized with two prestigious awards through the American Heart Association.
St. Lukes is the only hospital in Minnesota to be awarded a Mission Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center Gold Award.
“We, every year have been able to achieve a certain level of quality and excellence in care for our patients, and this is a recognition for that,” said Dr. Scott Mikesell, a cardiologist at St. Lukes Hospital.
The hospital was honored Tuesday by the American Heart Association for Heart Attack and Stoke Care.
Along with the STEMI award, they were recognized with a Stroke Silver Plus award for stroke care.
