17 Train Cars Derail in Alborn Township

ALBORN TOWNSHIP, Minn. – The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported train derailment this morning in Alborn Township.

When authorities arrived on scene they found 17 rail cars hard had derailed spilling their load of taconite.

There were no injuries in the accident and no roadways were blocked.

No other property damage was reported.
