Wisconsin First Lady Tonette Walker was in Superior Thursday morning to enjoy a walk in the park.
Her visit included a two-mile walk of the Millennium Trail with students from Superior’s Cathedral School.
It’s part of the“Walk with Walker” initiative.
The program helps Wisconsin’s First Lady promote healthy lifestyles.
Mrs. Walker says her visit to Superior had the biggest turnout of her tour of Wisconsin.
“It’s wonderful to see the kids and have them come out,” said. “I think it just makes you feel really happy.”
Superior is the forty-seventh place First Lady Walker has visited on her “Walk with Walker” tour.
