Duluth Teacher Arrested on Allegations of Criminal Sexual Conduct

Authorities Continue to Investigate the Incident

DULUTH, Minn. – On Monday afternoon Duluth Police investigators arrested a 33-year-old teacher in the Duluth School District on allegations of criminal sexual conduct.

According to officials at ISD709 the suspect was working at the Area Learning Center as well as Lincoln Park Middle School.

“The allegations are shocking and disappointing – the safety and well-being of students is our topmost priority. The teacher is being placed on administrative leave; school and district officials are in contact with the DPD and cooperating with their investigation. Minnesota’s government data practice laws limit our ability to comment more fully at this time.”

The Duluth Police Department has identified the victim, a male between the ages of 13-15,  and does not believe there are any other victims in relation to this incident.

The teacher is currently awaiting formal charges.
