Minnesota Hunters Encouraged to Buy Licenses Early

DNR Expects Lines to be Long

The Minnesota deer hunting season is right around the corner.

With that in mind, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is encouraging hunters to get out and buy their licenses early.

Minnesota has nearly half a billion firearms deer hunters in the state, and retailers say the day before the season begins every year is their busiest day selling licenses.

While hunting licenses are available for purchase during the season, they are not valid until the day after the purchase.

Licenses can be purchased at many different locations.

Rifle season starts on November 7th and runs through November 22nd.
