Country Lanes hosted a celebration of breast cancer survivors and fellowship Sunday.

The sea of pink was part of the 9th Annual Bowling to Beat Breast Cancer event.

Organizers say it was not about winning the game or money.

Instead, it was a chance to support loves ones affected by the disease.

“Everyone has a story. Ask anyone here why they’re here and they’ll tell you why they’re here because of someone who they feel has been touched by breast cancer and they want to make a difference,” said Barb Hoag, one of the event’s organizers and a breast cancer survivor.

The event has raised $111,000 over the past eight years. All of the money helps the cause locally.
