UPDATE: One Victim in Cable Home Explosion Dies From Injuries
Joyce Reidl has Died From Burns and Injuries
CABLE, Wis. –According to an update from the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office Joyce Reidl has died from her injuries sustained from the home explosion yesterday evening.
At this time there is no update on the condition of her husband, Raymond Reidl.
According to the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office, a home explosion in Cable has left a husband and wife with severe burns and other injuries.
Thursday evening a neighbor of the residents reported a home explosion at 45975 S. Lake Owen Drive in the Township of Cable.
The neighbor, Lee Wald, was able to help get one victim, Raymond Reidl, to safety.
The second victim, Joyce Reidl, was trapped in the home by debris but was later rescued by fire personnel.
Both victims were transported to the Hennepin County Hospital for further treatment of their injuries.
Officials are still investigating the explosion.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
