Interviews Begin Thursday for Duluth City Council At-Large Vacancy
Second Round Interviews Will Take Place Monday

DULUTH, Minn. – The filing period to apply for the City Councilor At-Large vacancy ended on Monday and has left 20 candidates in the running for the upcoming open seat.
Elissa Hansen will be stepping down from the position on August 17.
Hansen has accepted a position as CEO and president of the Northspan Group Inc.
The list of applicants include: Jeff Anderson, Arik Forsman, Timothy L. Meyer, Edwin King Hall, Maya Mattke, Gay Trachsel, Terese M. Tomanek, Bruce Lorenz, Jim Booth, Danelle Dunphy, Thomas Jovanovich, Sumair Sheikh, Patricia Stolee, Barbara Montee, Melissa Swor, John Klaers, Kenneth Mark Buehler, Janet Kennedy, Dean Casperson, and Debra Smith.
Applicant will be interviewed by the City Council on Thursday following the regular agenda session.
