Minnesota Power Named Yellow Ribbon Employeer
First Company in Duluth to Get the Designation
A Duluth company is getting special recognition for their support of veterans.
Minnesota Power is the 50th company in the state, and first in Duluth to get a Yellow Ribbon status.
The designation recognizes companies that go out of the way to create support systems for veterans, active duty service members and their families.
Company leaders met with the Minnesota Air National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing to celebrate Tuesday.
“I’ve never seen something so emotionally powerful in our company,” said Vice President of Minnesota Power Al Rudeck. “Minnesota power is proud of our Yellow Ribbon status and employees that help bring it together.”
One example of how Minnesota Power supports veterans is they cover the difference between military pay and civilian pay during deployments and training.
