Former Bulldog Basaraba Signs To Play Hockey in Scotland

The former UMD captain spent the past four seasons in the ECHL.

KIRKCALDY, SCOTLAND – Former UMD hockey captain Joe Basaraba has signed a deal with the Fife Flyers out of Scotland in the UK’s elite ice hockey league.

The Ontario, Canada native spent the past four seasons in the ECHL with stops in San Antonio, Cincinnati, Idaho and Greenvile. Basaraba was a freshman when the Bulldogs won their first ever national title back in 2011.
