Take a Kid Hunting Weekend

This weekend kids can go hunting in Minnesota without a license.
On Saturday and Sunday youth under the age of 16 can hunt small game while accompanied by an adult.
DNR officials say Take a Kid Hunting Weekend is all about passing down a passion and tradition along with getting active.
“From an individual level just getting outside, we know kids spend an awful lot of time in front of a screen these days,” DNR area wildlife manager Chris Balzer said. “Getting outside and seeing nature and learning about nature is definitely a positive thing.”
Hunters still must comply with limits and other regulations.
