The Cloquet Parks Department is working on a laundry list of projects.

Work has already begun on Sunnyside, Hilltop, and Pinehurst Parks, and projects are also on the docket for Veterans Park.

Pinehurst Park is one of the biggest projects the department is working on.

The majority of the park is currently a dirt pad, but Assistant City Engineer, Caleb Peterson says the work there should be completed by spring.

Peterson said work on a basketball court, and improved parking should be completed this fall.

The tennis court will not be usable until the spring, because the sealing and painting process takes an extended amount of time.

Peterson said the only work that should be needed this spring is the readying of the tennis court for play and some landscaping work.

In addition to the tennis and basketball courts, the Pinehurst hockey rink is also being rebuilt.
