Duluth’s 21st Avenue East Road Repairs Delayed Till Later In October
DULUTH, Minn. — Repair work on a major Duluth road is behind but should be finished by late next month.
21st Avenue East has been closed since June 20. It is a major traffic route to get up the hill and to UMD and the Woodland area.
In a press release, the City says it knows there is added interest in the project now that school has started.
The project has been delayed by several things. They include unexpected utility repairs, and delays in getting materials for storm sewers and parts for traffic signals.
The closure started at London Road and was recently extended to 4th Street. It will soon shutdown all the way up to Woodland.
Throughout the process, 4th Street will remain open.
21st Avenue East will remain closed until sometime in the last half of October.
