Two dollars and two wheels are how a new Duluth campaign is hoping to bring more support for protected bike lanes.
The Duluth Bike Coalition kicked off its Bikes Mean Business Campaign asking people who bike downtown to buy things with two dollar bills.
The hope is to make the economic impact of downtown bikers more visible and show that adding bike lanes will help and not hurt business.
“This isn’t a bike versus business debate,”said Brad Nelson with the Duluth Bike Coalition. “This is actually a lets improve business activity by also making bicycling safer for people who ride.”
The campaign will run through next Friday.
