A visit to the dentist – it’s probably not your favorite thing to do, but we all know how important it is.

But getting that message to children can be even more important, at least if you ask dental hygienists from Woodland Family Dental in Duluth.

They visited Homecroft Elementary School to deliver dental health kits to 200 students earlier this morning.

The kits contain tooth brushes, floss, and information packets.

It’s part of their continuing effort to promote oral health in the community.

“In the office it’s always so hard to see that we don’t see a child until they’re already in pain. So we wanted to get ahead of that,” said dental hygienist, Emma Junger.

February was National Dental Health Month.
