Students Learn to Find Peace

Students at Woodland Hills are working on a project in hopes of gaining peace.
The students worked on a labyrinth today as part of their healing and treatment.
The focus is to forget about the busy world around us and find relaxation.
An artist was there to teach the students how to create the piece.
“We rarely take time to just let our thoughts be quiet, to open ourselves up to new ideas, new thoughts, maybe connect with the divine, maybe connect with God and this is a wonderful way to do it,” explained Reverend Terese Tomanek, Chaplain at Woodland Hills.
This was made possible for the school through a grant from the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation.
“The students have used words like ‘relaxing, soothing, I was able to pray, I was able to calm my mind and let some things out,'” continued Tomanek.
The students will walk the labyrinth by candlelight once it’s finished.
