The bodies of science were honored Thursday at the College of St. Scholastica.
For the first-time ever, a memorial service was held on campus to honor the 18 cadavers that students of science have spent the year dissecting.
CSS Anatomy Director Lindsay Jensen said it’s important to remember that these bodies were once people.
“The cadaver that you first dissected, that’s your first patient,” explained Jensen. “You’re really in deep contact with one another, and it’s hours and hours of looking at a very specific structure.”
St. Scholastica gets their cadavers from the University of Minnesota.
