Public safety personnel took over Proctor High School Friday.
The expo was a chance for students to witness and experience careers in public safety.
It was also a chance for Lake Superior College firefighting students to interact with the community.
“When they get out into the real firefighting world, they’re going to be interfacing with the public all the time, they’re going to be recruiting for their own various fire departments. So, the earlier we can get them out talking, and understanding that that’s part of the job, the better,” said Joe Tribbey, instructor at Lake Superior College.
Some of the training stations included hose drag, tunnel search and dummy drag.
