Students from Duluth’s Laura McArthur Middle School are advancing to the finals in a competition because of their outstanding innovation in dance.
But they need a little financial boost to get there.
Thursday night, students served food for McTeacher’s night at McDonald’s.
Twenty percent of the sales will go to the team which is made of of 3rd-5th graders.
They learn a creative process and present their solutions during tournaments.
“I can’t step in while they’re practicing and say, you should be going in this direction. This has all been their work and their work alone. It’s really awesome to see how much they’ve thrived,” said Mari Clanaugh, Eagles team manager.
The finals are in Knoxville, Tenn. May 20.
