CLIMB Theater Performs Interactive Play for Children
Telling Stories While Teaching Lessons
Sorry, this video is no longer available
Monday children gathered at the Mount Royal branch library for a performance of an African folk tale about a spider who is the master of trickery!
CLIMB Theater, a touring children’s theater company, has actor–educators travel across the area telling stories to children through performance, while also teaching them valuable lessons.
“The plays that we do are a great way for the kids to get involved and really think about it, and they actually end up remembering it, so they get to learn a valuable lesson and have fun while they’re doing it,” said Justin Betancourt, Actor-Educator for CLIMB Theater.
Monday’s play was a lesson in bullying, teaching kids it’s not okay to trick others.
More performances will take place Monday, June 29 in the Main Library Green Room at 6 PM, and Tuesday, June 30 at the West Duluth Branch Library at 6 PM.
