Iron Range Man Hits Moose on Highway

Moose Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle

An Eveleth man has been injured after striking a moose.

While driving along Highway 53 at milepost 36 last night around 11, a moose walked out on the road in front of 62–year–old David Kwiatkowski.

The man hit the animal and the vehicle ended up in the median.

Kwiatkowski sustained non–life threatening injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports the moose died.
