The Primary Elections for Duluth’s mayor will be held Tuesday.
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
It is the first election since 2003 where the incumbent mayor is not running.
Duluth’s City Clerk says it’s important to vote in primary elections.
“Local elections are closest to them in decisions every day, so there’s a feel that they can select from the candidates that have filed for running and have their input in the beginning stages,” said Duluth City Clerk Jeff Cox.
Eight People are in the running for mayor.
There’s also a primary for the City Council’s 5th District, and two for the school board.
