Friday, Duluth’s Large Lakes Observatory wrapped up its fifth and final session of ‘Science on Deck.’
Each month of the summer, the public was invited to tour the Blue Heron and learn about all the work scientists do out on the water.
Friday’s lesson was about Lake Superior’s changing seasons, with the hope of inspiring people to invest in the lake.
“You know, we live in this area just because of the Great Lakes and so being on the Great Lakes and having employment and knowledge and learning how to protect it,” explained Lisa Sundberg, Ship Steward at Large Lakes Observatory.
Between 100 and 250 people toured the boat during each of the five sessions.
