The Duluth Indigenous Commission held its Annual Feast and Forum.
The Forum is held every year with a new topic.
This year they highlighted an ethnographic study of the indigenous community in Duluth, by Dr. Bruce White.
“He approached us a couple years ago, to apply for funding to create a history of Ojibwe people, and Dakota people in and around this area. I mean, there is very little traces of us here. And it has a real rich history in this community,” said Tina Olson, the Secretary of Duluth Indigenous Commission.
The Indigenous Commission works to ensure that the views of the Indigenous community are represented in the City of Duluth.
