Regulating vacation rentals has been a hot topic in Duluth in recent months.

tThe city of Duluth held its first hearing Thursday for anyone interested in weighing in on the city’s ordinance regulating the short term rentals like air bed and breakfasts. 

Duluth has a 12 month moratorium during which they are researching whether changes need to be made to the ordinance.

City officials said there’s a lot to consider. 

Duluth currently has about 70 short term vacation rentals available.
