The Duluth Public Library invited children and their parents to participate in “Read for the Record” Thursday night.
The worldwide event is put on by Jumpstart, which is a national early education organization.
Children all over the world came together to read the book, “Not Norman: A Gold Fish Story,” which is about – you guessed it – Norman the gold fish.
“It’s just to get kids aware that reading is cool. Across the board, it is important to have reading in our everyday lives,” said Heidi Harrison, with the Duluth Public Library.
Great Lakes Aquarium was a partner in Thursday’s event.
