With temperatures dropping and snow just around the corner it may be time to make sure your car is prepared to get you through this winter.

First thing experts recommend is to check your tires. Make sure the rubber isn’t too worn and they can get enough traction in the snow.

Experts suggest looking under the hood to double check the alternator and battery to ensure it’s working properly.

While you’re under there make sure you don’t forget to check your fluids.

“Checking the fluid levels especially the coolant. Make sure it has a good freezing temperature protection. You definitely want to check the other fluid levels as well make sure that there in good condition that they’re up to where they’re supposed to be because the cold can be pretty hard on a lot of internal components,” said Gavin Aker, service manager at All Star Service and Accessories.

And finally if you are just sick of waiting for your car to heat up, remote car starters are becoming increasingly popular.
