Red Cross Needs Help
This Holiday Season Many Have Experienced Horrible Weather
This holiday season, many states have experienced horrible weather such as several days of tornadoes and flooding. Now the American Red Cross is asking for your help. With such nasty storms leaving more than 11 hundred homes damaged. The American Red Cross has launched a massive relief response across multiple states. Hundreds of trained Red Cross disaster workers left loved ones over the holidays to open shelters to those affected. The Red Cross community shelters are now open in eight different states but more volunteers are needed.
Diane Dundar, a volunteer for the Red Cross says, ” Often times they think because they have jobs there’s just not time, but we work around all that and I don’t think you can ever have too many Red Cross volunteers.”
If you are looking to help the red cross, but maybe don’t have the means to volunteer, the best way to help, is donate financially.
“We don’t send clothing and we don’t send things, we send people and we provide financial assistants to them and it goes right back into their community,” says Diane Dundar.
