Tree Recycling

If you are looking to get rid of your holiday tree, the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District has the program for you.

WLSSD has kicked off their annual treecycling program this week, and they are encouraging residents to recycle unwanted holiday trees.

Karen Anderson, Director of Community Relations for WLSSD says, “We offer about a dozen locations, some are open through January 10th, others open through January 31st, but they are open 24 hours a day, these locations where people can drop off their Christmas trees at their convenience.”

Items with metal, such as wreaths and garlands are not accepted, those should be thrown away.
